Alena Brooks anchored the Trinidad & Tobago 4x400m relay to gold at the 2013 CAC Games. Te'Shon Adderley and Todea-Kay Willis took fifth in their respective events.

A trio of current and former Gophers have qualified for the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, which will be held in Michoacan, Mexico, July 5-8.

Former Gopher track and field standout Liz Podominick earned a place on Team USA for the World Championships. She qualified at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, on Sunday.

Laura Docherty makes her way to Eugene, Ore. this week for the NCAA Women's Track & Field Championships. The St. Paul, Minn. native makes her first appearance at the national meet and will compete in the 5,000-meter run.

Junior Laura Docherty qualified for the NCAA Women's Track and Field Championships, running a personal-record time of 16:10 to finish fifth in her section and ninth overall in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas.

Despite a number of lengthy rain delays, seven Gophers competed at the NCAA West Prelims in Austin, Texas.

In the opening day of the NCAA West Prelims, Megan Geyen advanced in the 400-meter dash, while Alena Brooks and Te'Shon Adderley qualified for the quarterfinals in the 800-meter run.
