Former All-America hurdler and U-M running back Tyrone Wheatley is back in Ann Arbor as a member of the football coaching staff. He will be inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame on New Year's Day.

Coming off the team's best season since 2009, the Wolverines are looking for another strong year in 2016, led by three returning All-Americans in Mason Ferlic, Derek Sievers and Steven Bastien.

Anthony Berry (Traverse City, Mich.), Josiah Davis (Saline, Mich.), Alex Klemm (Shelby Township, Mich.) and Manning Plater (Rushville, Ill.) will join the Wolverines for the 2017 season.

Nate Champan earned Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week honors after taking the 600-meter title with a new PR at the GVSU Holiday Open.

In early season-opening action, the Wolverines competed at GVSU's Holiday Open, where Nate Chapman won the 600-meter title and four throwers set PRs.

Michigan will kick off the 2016 season at Grand Valley State for the GVSU Holiday Open on Friday (Dec. 4) at 3 p.m.

Third-year head coach Jerry Clayton revealed the Wolverines' competitive 2016 slate that features 11 regular-season indoor meets and 14 outdoor meets.

Nate Brannen, Van Bruner, John Carroll, Omar Davidson, Scott Eriksson, Peter Gray, Roy Pella, Ernst Soudek, Nick Willis and Ron Warhurst were inducted into the Michigan Men's Track & Field Hall of Fame.

Phil Balyeat, who lettered in track and field at U-M (1939-40) and a man credited for the rise in tourism up north through photography, is a young 100 years of age and came across many Wolverine legends in his time in Michigan.
